Dr Mathieu Pernice is Deputy Director of the Climate Change Cluster at UTS, where he also co-leads two research teams in Algal Biotechnology and Seagrass.

Expert in Climate Change and sustainability, his research approach is multi-disciplinary and industry-focused with > 15 years of experience in technology transfer from University to Industry more particularly in Environmental Impact Assessment, Aquaculture, Food, and Biotechnology.

His research has been published in > 65 articles in International scientific journals. He has also assisted in large-scale monitoring programs as part of dredging projects in Darwin Harbour (Northern Territory) and Gladstone (Queensland), resulting in the publication of > 10 government and industry reports.

He has a passion for research performance, where he helps develop new data analytics tools to support researchers in shaping and growing their careers, and more broadly for impact investment in Science and industry research engagement.
