IRAN ALGAE 2024
ALGAE LEAVE NO
IRAN ALGAE 2024
The Iranian National Algae Culture Collection (INACC) specializes in developing innovative applications of algae across various sectors, including health, food, pharmaceuticals, energy, and the environment. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak in 2021, we made the decision to organize a virtual gathering of leading figures and researchers in the algae industry. This aimed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge at a time when traditional communication channels and the recruitment of new talent faced significant obstacles.
Building on the resounding success of the workshops held in May of 2021, 2022, and 2023, which saw widespread participation from national and international audiences and featured distinguished speakers, we are motivated to plan the third International Online Workshop focusing on Science, Technology, Innovation, Commercialization, and Marketing of Algae (microalgae/macroalgae) Products and Services. This event will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, ideas, and experiences from around the world.
Algae, as photosynthetic organisms found in both saltwater and freshwater environments, possess remarkable versatility despite their apparent simplicity. They represent a renewable, sustainable, and cost-effective resource with diverse applications, including biofuels, bioactive medicinal chemicals, food components, and other products. However, there are still constraints and challenges that need to be addressed to fully harness their potential.
INACC is delighted to host its 4th international online workshop titled "ALGAE LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND." This event will feature presentations by representatives from leading companies and esteemed professors in related fields, aimed at enhancing understanding and advancing the utilization of algae and its applications. Building on the success of previous workshops, this event offers a valuable opportunity to create a friendly environment for further networking and collaboration among researchers, professors, students, and corporations alike.
