Junior Researcher at GreenCoLab, Portugal
Lisa Schüler holds a BSc and MSc in Life Science, University of Hannover, Germany, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, University of Algarve, Portugal. Since August 2021, she is part of the GreenCoLAB team as a junior biotechnologist researcher. Currently, Lisa is studying harmful contaminants in large-scale microalgal cultures that lead to the collapse of cultures, which is associated with high costs. Her other interest is the improvement of industrial strains with the focus on high-value compounds using physiological and genetic approaches and thus, developing products with applications in the food and feed industries. Lisa has published 14 articles and one book chapter in international peer-reviewed journals and participated in several international conferences.
